Bem humorado e com uma aparência que engana a idade, o morador do Jardim da Saúde, Luiz Alves Leite, completou 100 anos na quarta-feira (25). Nascido em Lorena/SP, no dia 25 de julho de 1918, onde viveu a infância até os 14 anos é pura alegria.
Luiz veio trabalhar em São Paulo numa residência no bairro de Higienópolis. Com a maioridade exerceu funções diversas inclusive no Clube Português. Casou-se com Juliana Lopes Leite no dia 24 de junho de 1944, quando trabalhava na Laminação Nacional de Metais em Utinga. Encerrou sua atividade no escritório da Carpintaria Lopes de propriedade de seu sogro, na Vila Deodoro, onde se aposentou.
O centenário ficou viúvo há 6 anos e vive cada dia com muita tranquilidade, preocupações passam longe do seu dia a dia e de sua atenção.Como viveu 86 anos em São Paulo, ele atravessou e vivenciou momentos históricos da vida da cidade. Fala com lucidez sobre os prédios históricos, seus personagens ilustres e como, quando trabalhava na casa de uma família influente de São Paulo, atendeu um telefonema avisando que a Revolução de 32 tinha começado.
Conselhos para garantir a longevidade, ele não os dá, afirma que “não impõe suas verdades a ninguém”. Mas podemos perceber que as histórias são seu forte. Luiz é um contador de histórias nas quais é personagem principal. Para família o “vô Leite” é o protagonista, o astro principal de todas as histórias. A comemoração do centenário foi entre as duas filhas, os genros, 5 netos e 5 bisnetos.
