O incêndio que atingiu, recentemente, um dos centros de distribuição da Central Única das Favelas (Cufa), em Heliópolis, vem mobilizando a população a ajudar. O fogo consumiu as doações que seriam entregues para quatro mil famílias das comunidades, entre elas alimentos, produtos de limpeza e roupas novas. Em apoio a Cufa, a Legião da Boa Vontade (LBV) doará 200 cestas de alimentos não perecíveis para reparar as perdas físicas e emocionais das comunidades, garantindo, assim, um Natal melhor e próspero a essas famílias.
Os itens doados serão entregues no próximo dia 18 de dezembro, sexta-feira, na própria Central Única das Favelas, às 14 horas, na Rua Coronel Silva Castro, 151, na Cidade Nova Heliópolis.
Em sua ação emergencial de combate à fome e à Covid-19, a LBV já entregou, de março a novembro deste ano, mais de 2,2 milhões de quilos em doações em 185 cidades nas cinco regiões brasileiras, beneficiando famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social e em risco alimentar, por meio da Campanha SOS Calamidades.
