A Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) e Assistência Médica Ambulatorial (AMA)São Vicente de Paula, que é um dos principais centros municipais de saúde do Ipiranga está em processo de reforma há um mês. As obras de ampliação prevê a implantação de um elevador para portadores de necessidades especiais mais quatro novos consultórios para atendimento.
A reforma é fruto de uma emenda parlamentar do vereador George Hato (MDB). O gabinete do parlamentar informa que o custo para obra é da ordem de 468 mil e que foram abertos três processos junto à prefeitura para a execução da emenda no ano passado.
Na São Vicente de Paula são realizados procedimentos que vão desde imunização a serviços de fisioterapia – serviços de média complexidade. Atualmente a UBS tem6 leitos para atender a população do bairro.
A UBS São Vicente de Paula é um dos principais postos dessaúde para atendimento à populaçãodo bairro. Como a maioria dos pacientes são idosos tornou-se necessária uma ampliação voltada à portadores de necessidades especiais, como caso de cadeirantes, além de mais salas para atendimento. Essas melhorias foram cobradas ao vereador. E em 2021 foram inseridas na lei orçamentaria do município.
Não há previsão de quando essa ampliação será concluída. Quem administra a obra é a Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (SPDM). O Ipiranga News solicitou no dia de ontem (11/05) informações a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde da Prefeitura a respeito do número de pacientes atendidos na UBA São Vicente de Paula e o custo da obra, mas até o fechamento dessa edição não obteve resposta.
