O Parque Independência recebeu no sábado (26) e domingo (27) a 9ª edição do Campeonato de Skate Downhill Independência ao Longboard, evento que faz parte do ranking sulamericano de skate de ladeira. A competição contou com a participação de 120 atletas de vários estados e também de países vizinhos, que se desdobraram em manobras de três modalidades e 15 categorias. Foi realizada também a final da seletiva nacional de slalom, que empolgou as mais de dez mil pessoas presentes à principal área verde da região.
Um festival de cores envolveu participantes e a plateia presente ao equipamento público, tudo ao som de muito rock’n’roll. Os favoritos mostraram força e talento.
