De 02 a 16 de dezembro, sempre aos domingos, às 11h, o Sesc Ipiranga apresenta em seu Teatro o espetáculo musical infantil Canções para Pequenos Ouvidos, com a Orquestra Modesta. Dirigida por Fernando Escrich (que foi coordenador artístico do grupo Doutores da Alegria durante 20 anos) e Anderson Spada, a montagem traz cinco palhaços executando canções cujos temas buscam a construção de uma dramaturgia que conduz o público a uma viagem musical.
Em cena, é anunciado o concerto de uma grande orquestra. Enquanto o palhaço Sandoval aguarda ansioso pela chegada dos músicos, os palhaços Guadalupe, Nina Rosa, Dus Cais e Brocolino aparecem para atrapalhá-lo. Ao se depararem com um palco cheio de instrumentos musicais, quinquilharias e objetos largados no local, cada um ao seu tempo entra em contato com suas memórias e conta uma história em forma de canção.
Com simplicidade, letras poéticas e refrãos instantâneos, as canções trazem reflexões filosóficas e memórias afetivas comuns da infância, passando por diversos ritmos, muitas brincadeiras e interação com a plateia. O repertório está registrado no CD Canções para Pequenos Ouvidos, lançado em 2018 pelo Selo Sesc.
Durante 20 anos, Fernando Escrich esteve à frente da coordenação artística dos Doutores da Alegria, grupo em que também atuou no elenco de palhaços e na direção de espetáculos (em 2008, recebeu o Prêmio APCA de Melhor Diretor Musical por Senhor Dodói). Desde a sua saída da organização em 2014, Escrich tem trabalhado como diretor convidado em diversos grupos e cias dedicadas ao teatro infantojuvenil. É o caso da premiada Cia Vagalum Tum Tum, da qual Fernando é diretor musical e compositor das trilhas originais dos espetáculos Meu Amigo Inventor (2016), Já Pra Cama! (2015) e A Condessa e o Bandoleiro (2014).
