Com previsão de gastos de até 3,7 milhões, a Prefeitura está abrindo licitação na modalidade de pregão eletrônico para execução de obras nas margens do riacho Ipiranga. O pregão será aberto no dia 15. Isso significa que as obras não serão contempladas para os festejos do Bicentenário da Independência, a ser comemorado no dia 7 de setembro.
De acordo com o edital publicado no diário oficial de terça-feira (2) ,os trabalhos consistem na elaboração dos projetos complementares, na execução das obras de adequação das margens, no desassoreamento do Riacho do Ipiranga, numa extensão aproximada de 200 metros e na requalificação do jardim junto ao Monumento da Independência, no Parque da Independência, numa área aproximada de 18.000 m2. Está prevista ainda a reforma das duas passarelas em estruturas metálicas existentes, situadas defronte ao Monumento, que permitem a transposição do riacho pelos usuários do parque.
Mesmo que os trabalhos tenham início imediato, o que é quase impossível, dado a burocracia que é a aprovação e homologação da empresa vencedora pelaq Prefeitura, não haverá tempo hábil para realizar as obras até o dia 7 de setembro. Isso pode inviabilizar a encenação do Grito da Independência, que a secretaria municipal de cultura pretende fazer as margem do riacho Ipiranga, uma vez que o local.
Atualmente essa parte do riacho Ipiranga exala um um cheiro podre, sinalizando que o riacho Ipiranga serve de despejo de dejetos e certamente de ligação clandestina de esgoto. O cenário como um todo é lamentável: sujeira, mau cheiro, mato alto e, o mais triste, o local passou a ser frequentado por usuários de drogas. O que se espera é que as obras transformem o local em um ponto agradável para se frequentar.
