Depois de sofrer uma queda no mês de julho, as vendas de carros novos no Brasil voltaram a crescer em agosto. Segundo o presidente da Federação Nacional da Distribuição de Veículos Automotores (Fenabrave), Alarico Assumpção Júnior, o mercado tem que comportado conforme o esperado, apesar das incertezas políticas e econômicas.
De acordo com o balanço mensal da Fenabrave, 248.638 veículos foram vendidos em agosto (considerando automóveis, comerciais leves, ônibus e caminhões), contra 217.486 do mês anterior. Esta quantidade representa 14,3% mais que o mês anterior. Já em relação a agosto do ano passado, o aumento foi de 14,8%.
Considerando apenas automóveis e comerciais leves (descartando caminhões e ônibus), foram emplacadas 239.245 unidades. Esse total é 14,7% a mais que em julho e 14% a mais do que o registrado em agosto de 2017. Caminhões e ônibus tiveram um leve aumento, foram apenas 4,8% a mais nas vendas em relação a julho. Em compensação, esses veículos foram bem mais vendidos neste ano do que em agosto do ano passado, com aumento de 40,9%.
Até o momento, 2018 acumula 1.632.761 veículos vendidos, volume quase 15% maior que o acumulado de 2017. Desse total, 1.574.966 unidades são só de carros e comerciais leves. E a tendência é de que continue crescendo, segundo o presidente da Fenabrave. “Embora o cenário político esteja indefinido, o que nos impede de ter uma visão mais clara sobre seus efeitos na economia nos próximos meses, o mercado tem se comportado da forma esperada”, afirma Alarico Assumpção Júnior.
