A Secretaria Municipal de Habitação (SEHAB) oficializou a construção de oito boxes comerciais no Conjunto Habitacional Silvio Baccarelli, para atender parte da demanda dos comerciantes removidos da Gleba H de Heliópolis. A construção já foi inicializada, mas não tem data certa para ser finalizada, a previsão é que os pontos comerciais sejam entregues até 2019. Os boxes fazem parte de um projeto de geração de renda na região.
Com os boxes serão entregues mais um prédio residencial de quatro andares. Tanto as unidades habitacionais e comerciais serão repassadas com toda a infra-estrutura urbana necessária. Com a entrega dos 8 boxes será totalizados 20 boxes comerciais entregues no condomínio. Porém, ainda faltam 85 boxes. A promessa de entrega de mais de cem boxes vem se arrastando desde 1996 com a retirada das famílias da Gleba A. A solução vem sendo a abertura de comércios ilegais. “As famílias precisam de um sustento. A economia local pode contribuir para o crescimento dos moradores.
