O Riacho do Ipiranga será enfim canalizados. O projeto que faz parte do Programa de Controle de Cheias estabelecido no Plano de Metas para reduzir em 15% as áreas inundáveis da cidade passou por uma nova análise, revisão dos cálculos, além de contar com a parceria da Fundação Centro Tecnológico de Hidráulica (FCTH) da USP que fez um levantamento de todos os pontos de alagamento. A liberação de verba era uma antiga reivindicação do vereador Aurélio Nomura (PSDB), líder do Governo na Câmara Municipal de São Paulo.
Com um investimento de R$167,3 milhões, sendo 89% de verbas federais e 11% municipal, as intervenções serão feitas entre a nascente e a avenida Bosque da Saúde. O projeto conta com 2 reservatórios, 1 canal extravasor, 1,6 km de canalização e 420m de galerias. “Não temos que combater as consequências, temos que combater a causa e o trabalho de drenagem tem como consequência direta o combate às enchentes”, explicou o secretário Penido.
As obras já tiveram início e deve ser finalizada no primeiro semestre de 2020. “Será uma obra longa, com um tráfego intenso de caminhões e máquinas, por isso apresentamos o projeto e conversamos com os moradores e pedimo paciência pois o resultado final valerá muito a pena”, esclareceu o secretário de Serviços e Obras, Marcos Penido.
O vereador Aurélio Nomura lembrou que a primeira obra feita no Riacho do Ipiranga foi em 1986 e a partir daí já foram 12 obras para tentar solucionar o problema. “Já foram gastos mais de R$170 milhões, mas com falta de planejamento e obras emergenciais sem projeto realizadas pelas gestões anteriores o problema não foi resolvido. Agora com o prefeito João Doria e secretário Marcos Penido tivemos uma resposta rápida e adequada, baseada em estudos e dados técnicos”, comemorou Nomura.
Ainda de acordo com o secretário Penido, o projeto contempla a área verde. “Estamos trabalhando com um projeto onde a área urbana é muito grande e temos um riacho confinado. Nesta situação não temos espaço para a implantação de um parque linear, pois não existe a possibilidade de diminuir uma pista da Ricardo Jafet, mas garanto que existe um projeto de paisagismo com uma solução muito interessante”, explicou.
