Com a missão de contribuir para transformar Heliópolis e região num Bairro Educador, a UNAS desenvolve diferentes iniciativas educativas, com enfoque nas crianças e adolescentes. Dentre elas, estão em destaque as atividades de promoção ao esporte e à cidadania, tais como o Projeto Futsal Heliópolis, um núcleo de desenvolvimento da modalidade Futebol de Salão para crianças e adolescentes entre 6 e 16 anos. Além da educação cidadã, o projeto tem resultados na melhoria da qualidade técnica dos participantes.
Em junho, um dos meninos que participa das atividades do projeto, Felipe Pereira Dahora, de 12 anos, foi aprovado em um “peneira” realizada pelo Palmeiras em Heliópolis, o evento contou com cerca de 100 garotos, de 10 à 14 anos. “Para mim e para vocês, não importa onde vocês estão hoje. O importante é que é um dia que pode marcar a vida de vocês, por que as nossas vidas são feitas de oportunidades”. – disse aos garotos o ex-jogador e assessor técnico Zé Roberto.
Conhecido como “Seedorf” de Heliópolis, o garoto Filipe começou a treinar no CT das categorias de base do Palmeiras, localizado na cidade de Guarulhos, região metropolitana de São Paulo. Ele foi aprovado em um teste em Heliópolis. “Participei por quatro anos do projeto da UNAS. Entrei com o convite do Fábio, o professor. O projeto foi ótimo, porque me ajudou a levar coisas boas para o campo. Agora, a experiência no Palmeiras também está sendo muito boa”, conta Felipe, que dá um recado para as crianças e adolescentes de Heliópolis: “nunca desista dos sonhos. Tem que persistir, ter foco, nunca largar os estudos e não seguir os caminhos errados”, disse.
O pai, Carlos Pereira Dahora, vive em Heliópolis há 20 anos e conheceu o trabalho da instituição no Futebol por um amigo. “O Felipe jogava na rua, então fiquei muito interessado no projeto, pela forma como era feito o treinamento e pelos professores. Ele começou a treinar e gostou muito, só falava da UNAS”, explica Carlos. “O projeto na comunidade é muito bom, a UNAS é de importância fundamental para formar cidadãos, agrega muitos valores para os projetos. Isso não pode parar. Na UNAS, a molecada tem oportunidade para crescer, não só no futebol, mas em outros projetos maravilhosos”, complementa.
Também o professor do projeto “Futsal Heliópolis”, Fábio Luiz Fiorati, afirma a importância de educar pelo esporte.“Acredito muito no esporte como ferramenta da educação. Vamos tentar, pela UNAS, abrir o máximo possível de espaços para que seja feito esse trabalho de esporte, para atender a maioria das crianças. Não importa a qualidade técnica, trabalhamos com todas as crianças. O que importa é aprender o esporte, o conceito, e buscar dentro do esporte a disciplina que a modalidade dá”, afirma.
O Projeto Futsal Heliópolis atende 150 garotos e garotas em 6 turmas para crianças de 6 a 17 anos: de segunda a quarta e de terça e quinta, das 17h30 às 20h30, no CCA Heliópolis, na Rua Coronel Silva Castro, 58.
