A rede de serviços da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência e Desenvolvimento Social (SMADS) atende mensalmente mais de 14.600 idosos nas mais diversas modalidades de atendimento. São 129 equipamentos exclusivos para este público. Conhece algum idoso que necessita de um atendimento diferenciado? Os serviços sociais ofertados pela Prefeitura também estão nos nossos bairros.
Manter o corpo e a mente saudáveis elevando a qualidade de vida dos idosos. Com esse objetivo, o Polo Cultural José Lewgoy, mais conhecido como Polo Cultural da Terceira Idade, atende o público da terceira idade de segunda a sexta-feira, das 8h às 17h, na rua Teixeira Mendes, 262, na região do Cambuci.
No local, os idosos podem participar de oficinas de capoeira, yoga, teatro, radio taissô, alongamento, pintura, padaria artesanal, memória, violão, dança de salão, tricô, crochê, bordados, entre outras atividades.
As mais procuradas são as que envolvem o corpo como a prática de yoga e a radio taissô.
“Os Núcleos trabalham com dois eixos: convivência e acompanhamento domiciliar. Na convivência nós temos atividades de esporte, artes, dança, canto, passeios, além de ações que envolvem a questão da prevenção da saúde e uma melhor qualidade de vida”, afirma a técnica da Proteção Social Básica da SMADS, Cassia Monteiro Lima.
Os serviços também contam com psicólogos e assistentes sociais que fazem o acompanhamento domiciliar dos idosos que recebem o Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC). “Os idosos beneficiários do BPC são georreferenciados e o NCI da região faz o acompanhamento daqueles que necessitam de uma intervenção. Durante a visita o idoso é convidado a participar das atividades no Núcleo e os profissionais também podem encaminhá-los para outras políticas públicas caso seja necessário”, destaca Cassia.
As vagas são referenciadas nos Centros de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social (CREAS) e Centros de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS), e também podem ser viabilizadas por meio de encaminhamentos do Ministério Público ou Poder Judiciário.
No Ipiranga o CRAS fica na rua Taquarichim, 290; no Jabaquara o CRAS está localizado na rua dos Jornalistas, 48 e na Vila Mariana o atendimento é feito na rua Madre Cabrini, 99.
