O início das obras do piscinão Jaboticabal, na segunda-feira (27),além de minimizar os impactos das chuvas na região do Grande ABC, deverá conter as enchentes na região do Ipiranga. Os trabalhos serão executados pelo DAEE (Departamento de Águas e Energia Elétrica) e receberão investimento de R$ 237,9 milhões provenientes do Estado, dos quais R$ 131,9 milhões serão destinados às obras e outros R$ 106 milhões às desapropriações da área. Rodrigo Garcia, governador em exercício, acompanhou o início dos trabalhos“Estamos fazendo aqui o maior piscinão do Estado de São Paulo. É uma obra bancada integralmente com recursos do Governo de São Paulo, que vai resolver um grande problema no momento das enchentes na região do Grande ABC”, afirmou Rodrigo Garcia.
Desde junho, o Governo aguardava decisão judicial acerca da desapropriação de parte da área próxima ao km 13 da Rodovia Anchieta. A imissão na posse ocorreu em dezembro de 2021.
O Jaboticabal será o maior reservatório da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo (RMSP) e beneficiará diretamente mais de 500 mil pessoas. A estrutura será construída no córrego Jaboticabal, entre os Ribeirões dos Meninos e dos Couros, na divisa entre os municípios de São Paulo, São Caetano do Sul e São Bernardo do Campo. O piscinão ocupará uma área de 154 mil m² e terá capacidade para armazenar 900 mil m³ de água da chuva.
A construção está sob responsabilidade do Consórcio RAC Jaboticabal, formado pelas empresas Passarelli Engenharia e Construção Ltda e Planova Infraestrutura Eireli. A homologação do certame foi publicada no Diário Oficial do Estado (DOE) em 6 de maio. A previsão é que as obras sejam concluídas no primeiro semestre de 2023.
