Domingo (10) aconteceu o 3º Passeio Ciclístico Solidário. A concentração foi na Base Comunitária da Polícia Militar, na Praça Flávio Xavier de Toledo e o passeio teve início, às 9h.
O trajeto de 15km percorreu as imediações dos bairros Jardim da Saúde e Ipiranga. Os ciclistas passaram pela Rua Ribeiro Lacerda, Av. Prof, Abraão de Moraes, Av. Dr. Ricardo Jafet e Av. Dom Pedro I e tiveram um retorno opcional pelas avenidas Dom Pedro, Nazaré, Gentil de Moura e Cursino.
As vagas foram limitadas e os 200 primeiros inscritos ganharam camiseta do evento. Para participar era necessário doar 1kg de alimento não perecível, brinquedos ou itens de higiene e segurança, como luvas para procedimento, lenço umedecido, papel toalha, entre outros.
O passeio é promovido há três anos pela Academia Planet Sport, em parceria com a Base Comunitária de Segurança Jardim da Saúde, da Polícia Militar.
De acordo com os organizadores do evento, a ação tem como objetivo promover a saúde e bem-estar além de reunir doação de produtos, que são o ingresso para participar da atividade. Tudo que foi arrecadado será destinado para entidades beneficentes da região, incluindo o Centro de Apoio a Criança com Câncer, Marta Kuboiama.
A iniciativa solidária vem crescendo a cada ano e alcançando números que estão animando os participantes e organizadores. Este ano foi arrecadado mais de 1 tonelada de doações de alimentos. “É maravilhoso poder ajudar, cuidar da saúde e ainda conhecer pessoas novas e trocar experiências. O domingo fica mais gostoso”, disse Samara Tortorello, que pela primeira vez participou do passeio.
