A Defesa Civil descartou a possibilidade de desabamento, na tarde de terça-feira (7), de dois prédios residenciais interditados na rua Doutor Nicolau de Souza Queiroz, 863, na Aclimação. O edifício Norma foi evacuado já na segunda-feira (6), enquanto o outro, chamado Ernani, teve os moradores removidos na manhã de terça-feira.
Como os prédios, que são geminados, ficam em um barranco de cerca de 12 metros, um talude de concreto era responsável por conter a terra. Essa estrutura cedeu na manhã desta terça, um dia após o edifício Norma ser interditado por causa de rachaduras em parte de uma estrutura de vigas. Ao despencar, o talude derrubou a passarela de entrada dos moradores do edifício Norma. As edificações têm 16 pavimentos (dos quais 15 são de apartamentos e um é de garagem). Quatro andares ficavam abaixo do nível da rua.
Segundo o coordenador-geral da Defesa Civil da capital, coronel Edernald Arrison de Souza, o deslizamento foi “possivelmente provocado por uma umidade”. “Não tivemos a drenagem dessa umidade e, com a deficiência da resistência daquela encosta, nós tivemos um deslizamento”, disse.
Para conter um novo deslizamento, uma estrutura de plástico deve ser colocada. Segundo o coronel, uma “análise mais detalhada” apontará o motivo do incidente.
Idênticos, com exceção das diferenças de cores, um é laranja e o outro verde, os prédios possuem 60 apartamentos cada um ano. Segundo a Defesa Civil, 116 famílias moravam nas duas construções, que têm cerca de 50 anos.
Segundo o Corpo de Bombeiros, ao menos oito viaturas com 24 homens trabalharam no local. O fornecimento de água, energia elétrica e gás foram cortados. Parte dos apartamentos localizados abaixo do nível da rua foi atingida pela água e pela terra durante o deslizamento.
O prefeito regional da Vila Mariana, Benedito Mascarenhas, informou que os síndicos dos prédios foram orientados a contratar análises técnicas privadas, pois, à Prefeitura, caberia apenas verificar o risco de desabamento do edifício.
A empresária Isabela Salazar, de 38 anos, diz que sua cozinheira ouviu o barulho da rachadura e sentiu um tremor. O apartamento fica no terceiro andar da parte subterrânea. “Foi um caos, a pior sensação da vida, uma loucura”, conta.
A pedagoga Ana Paula Abate, de 43 anos, veio conferir se o Edifício Norma corria risco de desabar. Ela viveu no local durante a infância e a adolescência, onde sua mãe, Elisabeth, de 77 anos, reside há quase 50 anos. Como a garagem dos dois prédios é separada apenas por um portão, ela conseguiu retirar o automóvel da mãe do local.
