O Governo de São Paulo publicou na terça-feira (22), no Diário Oficial do Estado, um edital de licitação para empresas interessadas em executar as obras de construção do piscinão no Córrego Jaboticabal, entre os Ribeirões dos Meninos e dos Couros. No total, serão investidos R$ 315 milhões, sendo, R$ 190 milhões em obras e outros R$ 125 mi para desapropriação de terrenos.
Com prazo para ser concluído em 18 meses, o reservatório ocupará uma área de 154 mil metros quadrados e terá capacidade para armazenar 900 mil metros cúbicos de água da chuva na divisa entre os municípios de São Paulo, São Caetano do Sul e São Bernardo do Campo.
“O Governo de São Paulo está empenhado em viabilizar a construção desse importante equipamento que visa dar mais tranquilidade para a população da região no período das chuvas”, explica o Secretário de Infraestrutura e Meio Ambiente, Marcos Penido.
A obra beneficiará diretamente 500 mil habitantes de São Paulo (Vila Romano, Vila Cristália, Jardim Patente, Cohab São Caetano, Jardim Seckler) e São Caetano do Sul (Jardim São Caetano, Belvedere, Bairro São José e Bairro Santo Antônio).
“Este será o maior piscinão da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo e trará efetiva contribuição para o controle de cheias na região”, destaca o Superintendente do DAEE, Alceu Segamarchi Júnior.
Com a construção do piscinão Jaboticabal, serão 20 equipamentos do tipo construídos pelo Governo do Estado na bacia do Alto Tamanduateí. O DAEE mantém 19 piscinões em operação na região do ABC, com capacidade para acumular 3,7 milhões de metros cúbicos de água.
