As nove missas realizadas ao longo do dia ficaram lotadas de fiéis. “Não esperávamos essa quantidade de pessoas devido à pandemia de Covid”, comenta o padre Benedito Donizetti Vieira, responsável pela Paroquia.
Houveram bênçãos nas laterais internas da igreja e missa solene no final do dia. As tradicionais barraquinhas externas fizeram sucesso entre o público que pode conferir os tradicionais Lírios de São José, Artigos Religiosos, Bolo de São José, Saquinho para Moedas, Salgados e Refrigerantes.
Esse ano não teve procissão. “A arquidiocese alertou para não relaxarmos tanto as medidas de segurança e sairmos com os fiéis para as ruas”, comenta o pároco Vieira.
A Paroquia São José agora se prepara para a celebração da semana santa em abril e para a festa junina visto que não era celebrada igualmente há dois anos.
