Para ajudar a que o meio ambiente seja contaminado por esse lixo e que tenham correta destinação e reciclagem, a partir desta quarta-feira (22), você pode descartar esses itens em caixas coletoras nas estações Santa Cruz, Tucuruvi, Tamanduateí, Ana Rosa, Paraíso, Consolação, Palmeiras-Barra Funda e Vila Prudente (Linha 15-Prata).
A campanha, que vai até o dia 30/6, é uma iniciativa da Green Eletron em parceria com o Metrô. O objetivo é conscientizar sobre a importância do descarte ambientalmente correto e reciclagem de aparelhos eletroeletrônicos. De acordo com a Grenn Eletron, milhões de toneladas de equipamentos eletroeletrônicos e pilhas são descartadas incorretamente no mundo e a quantidade cresce a cada ano. Só no Brasil, estima-se que sejam gerados mais de dois milhões de toneladas de lixo eletrônico, sendo que menos de 3% é reciclado.
