Moradores da rua Guarda de Honra, no Ipiranga, não escondem o temor com a cratera surgida em frente ao número 197 da via, após o temporal que se estendeu da noite de domingo (10) e a manhã de segunda-feira (11). O buraco tem cerca de três metros de largura, cinco de comprimento, três de profundidade e, para piorar a situação, o local é pouco iluminado.
Observados por uma equipe da Defesa Civil, funcionários da Sabesp (Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo) fizeram reparos na cova, na manhã de terça-feira (12), e um operário comentou, “A sorte é que o duto de gás fica do outro lado da rua, pois o estrago poderia ter sido maior”.
“Eu moro próximo, tenho dois filhos e não sei o que pode ocorrer se caírem nessa cratera”, se preocupou o vendedor Carlos Antonio Delgado. “Nós enfrentamos outras duas chuvas fortes, mas essa acabou com tudo o que tínhamos”, lamentou. Não havia exagero na fala de Delgado: a rua Guarda de Honra e todas as vias públicas da região assemelham-se a uma zona de guerra. Lama e lixo são vistos em todos os cantos. Segundo o CGE (Centro de Gerenciamento de Emergências) foi a segunda maior chuva dos últimos 24 anos. Choveu em 12 horas ininterruptas o volume previsto para todo o mês de março. Uma das áreas mais baixas da região, a Vila Carioca teve várias ruas alagadas. Houve locais em que a água chegou a 1m70.
