Em alusão ao bicentenário da Independência do Brasil, que será comemorado no dia 7 de setembro, os Correios lançaram mais uma estampa filatélica sobre o tema. A cerimônia, realizada em Brasília, também comemorou o Dia Nacional do Selo.
Além do selo apresentado, que estampa a espada de Dom Pedro I durante o Grito do Ipiranga, a empresa instalará uma grande faixa comemorativa no edifício do Setor Comercial Sul de Brasília, além de decorações que estarão presentes em todas as agências. Os veículos dos Correios também serão decorados com adesivos da campanha comemorativa do bicentenário da Independência.
