Quem foi adolescente na década de 1990 está feliz em poder relembrar a primeira novelinha teen da televisão brasileira. Já está disponível para os assinantes do Globoplay “Malhação 95”, a precursora da trama que virou febre e é sucesso até os dias de hoje.
Foi numa conversa entre os escritores Andréa Maltarolli e Emanuel Jacobina, na oficina de roteiristas da Globo, que surgiu a ideia de ambientar uma trama jovem em torno de uma academia de ginástica. Com a temática, nasceu também um novo formato: um seriado leve e bem-humorado que retratasse questões delicadas e relevantes do dia a dia desses jovens.
O folhetim surgiu com a premissa de incentivar a troca de experiências entre veteranos e jovens atores e revelou diversos talentos da televisão brasileira ao longo dos anos. Na primeira temporada, nomes como Danton Mello, Fernanda Rodrigues, Carolina Dieckmann, Andre Marques, Luigi Baricelli e Claudio Heinrich foram alguns dos escolhidos para integrar o elenco, que contou também com participações especiais de Danielle Winits, Evandro Mesquita, Guilherme Piva, Murilo Rosa, Otávio Müller e Totia Meirelles, entre outros.
Na trama, Danton Mello interpreta Héricles Barreto, jovem ingênuo e de bom caráter que chega do interior para estudar no Rio de Janeiro e consegue um emprego na academia Malhação. Ele se encanta por Isabella (Juliana Martins), mas tem que lidar com os ciúmes Romão (Luigi Baricelli), o arrogante campeão de jiu-jítsu e namorado da moça. Preconceitos, separação de casais, ciúmes dos filhos, intrigas e relacionamentos amorosos são alguns dos temas abordados pelos personagens na obra.
O sucesso em 1995 foi tão grande, que Danton é lembrado até hoje pelo seu personagem, e dele guarda grandes recordações: “Héricles foi um personagem muito importante pra mim e na minha carreira, foi meu primeiro grande papel na televisão, em um horário especial na emissora. Até hoje só tenho lembranças boas, as melhores possíveis. Foi um projeto que deu muito certo e certeza de que todo elenco tem muito orgulho de ter feito parte”.
