O turismo de São Paulo é uma atividade sustentável na visão dos seus habitantes, de acordo com os resultados da quarta edição da Pesquisa de Percepção do Turismo nos Municípios, que foi divulgada pelo Centro de Inteligência da Economia do Turismo (CIET), ligado à Secretaria de Turismo e Viagens de SP. Moradores de 325 municípios paulistas analisaram 26 atributos de satisfação para avaliar o impacto do turismo onde moram.
Para a maior parte dos entrevistados, a atividade turística impulsiona a economia da cidade (95,98%), faz bem para o município (94,4%), beneficia os moradores (94,22%) e gera empregos para a população (92,44%). Realizada uma vez por ano desde 2020, a iniciativa revela o impacto da atividade sob o ponto de vista econômico, ambiental e sociocultural – e se coloca como uma ferramenta para a elaboração de políticas públicas pelos municípios e pelo Estado.
“O turismo é um vetor de desenvolvimento sustentável, pois tem a capacidade de elevar os indicadores sociais e de renda, trazendo benefícios a quem visita e a quem reside nos destinos”, afirma Roberto de Lucena, secretário de Turismo e Viagens de SP. Os moradores das cidades de Santa Clara D’Oeste, Ibitinga, Louveira, Iguape e Ourinhos estão entre os mais satisfeitos com a atividade turística em todo o Estado de SP: 98% deles destacaram os benefícios do setor onde moram.
Os pontos de atenção mais lembrados pelos entrevistados foram o acúmulo de lixo da cidade (58,2%), o trânsito de veículos (48%) e o aumento do índice de violência (38,1%). A Secretaria recebeu 22.902 respostas de moradores. As cidades que registraram mais de 200 respostas podem visualizar seus resultados finais de forma individualizada. As cidades com menos de 200 respostas têm acesso aos resultados de suas Regiões Turísticas ou Regiões Administrativas.
