Verão, tempo de férias e diversão, mas com a Covid-19 assombrando a todos, o melhor é optar por destinos nacionais, sempre observando os protocolos de segurança do local a ser visitado. Casa Branca, cidade do interior paulista, mais conhecida como a “Capital da Jabuticaba”, vale uma visita. A cidade ganhou este nome, pois o vilarejo se originou ao redor de uma casa branca que era utilizada pelos bandeirantes como pousada, no Século XVII.
Terra do saudoso Ganymédes José Santos de Oliveira, famoso escritor infanto-juvenil que publicou centenas de livros nas décadas de 70 e 80, conquistando vários prêmios reconhecidos; em Casa Branca pode-se observar o fenômeno conhecido por boçoroca, em que o terreno sofre imensa erosão, formando-se crateras no solo, conferindo-lhe aspectos dos cânions norte-americanos. É possível reparar as diversas camadas de minerais encontradas já que, conforme o terreno vai cedendo à erosão vai se mostrando as diversas camadas de terra de cores variadas.
A cidade fica a 230 km da capital paulista e integra o Circuito Turístico Café com Leite. Casa Branca é uma das cidades mais antigas Estado, nascida às margens da famosa “Estrada de Goiás”, rota dos Bandeirantes e sertanistas que colonizaram o interior do Estado de São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Goiás. Fundada por decreto do Príncipe Regente D. João em 1814, o município participou de fatos históricos como a Guerra do Paraguai, Revolução de 1932 e a passagem de D. Pedro II para inauguração da Estrada de Ferro Mogiana. Bem no centro da cidade, no Largo do Rosário, existe ainda uma das Palmeiras Imperiais ali plantadas em comemoração a visita real e sua comitiva.
Andar pelas antigas ruas de Casa Branca vale por uma aula de História. As construções mostram o poderio que a cidade já usufruiu, desde suas ruas estreitas de 1814 com seus casarios construídos a mando do Decreto Real, como também nas varias fazendas espalhadas por suas terras em estilo Colonial Mineiro.
A Igreja Matriz Nossa Senhora das Dores concluída em 1889, em estilo Clássico Romano, é um verdadeiro monumento. A Escola Normal concluída em 1932 embeleza a cidade e a cultura de um grande período sendo a segunda criada no interior de São Paulo.
Já o Fórum de Justiça, construído no estilo neoclássico, possui dimensões que chama a atenção; sendo que a maioria dos imóveis, que é Patrimônio Histórico e turísticos, está intacto e bem cuidado pelos seus proprietários.
Para o turista que gosta de artesanato, Casa Branca é um prato cheio. Bordados, esculturas, bebidas e doces são as marcas da cidade, e é claro, destacando-se principalmente o licor de jabuticaba uma tradição do município e que até em seu brasão ostenta o galho representando a Terra da Jabuticaba. Não deixe também de experimentar a cachaça de jabuticaba, que tem um gosto peculiar.
