As diferentes manifestações culturais dos povos indígenas do Brasil serão retratadas em uma série de atividades artísticas que o Sesc reuniu na ação em rede Abril Indígena. A programação será apresentada durante o mês de abril em todas as unidades da instituição, e a mais próxima dos ipiranguistas fica na rua Bom Pastor, 822.
Os espectadores poderão apreciar, entre outros, números de dança, música, oficinas, mostras de cinema, intervenções e bate-papos. O objetivo é aprofundar os debates sobre a condição desses povos no país, fomentando a convivência e o respeito pelas diferenças.
A programação do Sesc Ipiranga destaca espetáculos de dança e música para o público adulto, teatro e mostra de curtas para o público infantil e também a oficina de game “Huna Kuin” para o público jovem. As atrações para os moradores da região começam no sábado (6), às 16h, com o “Ritual Parrir e Parresistir”. O espetáculo conta com a participação do grupo Sabuká Kariri Xocóo, coordenado pelo cacique e pajé Pawana Kariri Xocó.
Entre os dias 6 e 24 acontece o experimento cênico “Morte e Dependência na Terra do Pau Brasil”, com a Cia Livre e a Cia 8 Nova Dança. A direção é de Cibele Forjaz e a experiência baseada em “Os Horácios e os Curuáceos”, de Bertold Brecht. Ela foi criada especialmente para ser apresentada no Museu Ipiranga.
