O Governador João Doria confirmou nesta segunda-feira (1º) a liberação de um segundo lote de 5,6 mil litros de insumos na China para a produção de mais 8,7 milhões de doses da vacina do Instituto Butantan no Brasil. A chegada da matéria-prima está prevista para o próximo dia 10.
“Acabamos de receber a informação de que o Governo da China liberou a exportação de mais 5,6 mil litros dos insumos da vacina do Butantan. Portanto, com isso, teremos mais 8,7 milhões vacinas em São Paulo, com chegada prevista até o dia 10 de fevereiro”, afirmou o Governador.
Na quarta-feira (3), o Butantan receberá o primeiro lote com 5,4 mil litros de IFA (Insumo Farmacêutico Ativo) previsto para este mês. A carga é enviada pela biofarmacêutica Sinovac, com sede em Pequim, e permitirá a produção de 8,6 milhões de doses do imunizante em São Paulo. O desembarque deverá acontecer no período da noite, no aeroporto de Viracopos, em Campinas.
De acordo com o Diretor do Instituto Butantan, Dimas Covas, as vacinas produzidas com o lote de matéria-prima que chega nesta semana começarão a ser entregues ao Ministério da Saúde no próximo dia 25. Com as duas cargas de insumos, a produção local deverá chegar a 600 mil doses diárias em São Paulo.
“É importante mencionar que já temos um outro pedido em andamento de 8 mil litros adicionais. A produção com esse quantitativo de matéria-prima prosseguirá muito rapidamente”, afirmou Covas. Ainda nesta semana, o Butantan e o Ministério da Saúde devem confirmar o acordo para entrega de 54 milhões de doses adicionais, além das 46 milhões já definidas em contrato.
“Isso vai nos permitir chegar a um total de 100 milhões de doses. Nossa programação é que possamos entregar essas doses até o começo de agosto. Estamos trabalhando a todo vapor para que, rapidamente, as doses sejam produzidas assim que a matéria-prima chegar a partir de quarta-feira”, concluiu o Diretor do Butantan.
Na última sexta-feira (29), São Paulo entregou ao Ministério da Saúde um lote com 1,8 milhão de doses, completando o total de 8,7 milhões de vacinas até 31 de janeiro previstas em cronograma com o Governo Federal.
Até o início da tarde desta segunda, o Vacinômetro de São Paulo registrava pouco mais de 422 mil pessoas imunizadas entre trabalhadores da saúde, indígenas, quilombolas, idosos residentes em instituições de longa permanência e pessoas com deficiência a partir de 18 anos institucionalizados. O Governo do Estado também começa a vacinar os idosos acima de 85 anos em fevereiro.
De todas as vacinas disponíveis no país até o momento, 80% foram fornecidas pelo Butantan. O Governo de São Paulo já distribuiu 1,2 milhão de doses. A vacinação no Estado começou em 17 de janeiro, com a imunização de profissionais de Saúde no Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo.
