No final da tarde desta sexta-feira (7), um ônibus da Linha Verde, Ana Rosa/Vila Industrial, colidiu com uma árvore na Praça da Independência, mais precisamente, na calçada do Parque [da Independência]. As causas do acidente ainda não foram informadas.
Ao todo, 20 passageiros, contando com o motorista, que ficou preso entre as ferragens do veículo, estavam a bordo. 5, incluindo ele, ficaram em estado mais delicado e 15 feridos. Todos foram encaminhados para Hospitais da região e o condutor foi socorrido pela Santa Casa.
Conforme contou a PM, algumas lesões foram na face, por conta dos impactos nos bancos após a batida. 13 viaturas do Corpo de Bombeiros e 2 carros do SAMU foram mobilizados para o resgate das vítimas.
Gustavo Navas, 18 anos, trabalha no Hirota e aguardava a condução próximo ao local do ocorrido quando foi surpreendido pelo acidente. Segundo ele contou à reportagem, o motorista já vinha em alta velocidade desde a Avenida Dom Pedro I, obrigando os carros que vinham da Ricardo Jafet a “parar para que ele passasse”.
“Eu estava esperando o ônibus quando senti um vento nas minhas costas e só escutei o barulho. As peças voaram, quase pegaram em mim”, contou Naves, que faz parte da equipe socorrista do SAMU e ainda conseguiu socorrer algumas vítimas e uma idosa que ficou presa próxima ao motorista.
“Eu acho que estou em dia com meu anjo da guarda, porque foi um livramento mesmo”, disse ainda Gustavo sobre não ter sido atingido pelo ônibus ou peças que voaram com a batida.
Por volta das 19h, outro veículo dos Bombeiros foi ao local para cortar galhos da árvore que caíram sobre o veículo.
