A Prefeitura, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência e Desenvolvimento Social (SMADS), inaugurou na sexta-feira (3) o segundo Núcleo de Convivência emergencial da cidade. O novo equipamento está localizado no bairro do Cambuci.
A Organização da Sociedade Civil (OSC) Serviço Franciscano de Solidariedade (Sefras) conta com 21 funcionários e nove deles foram conviventes do Núcleo de Convivência Chá do Padre. A unidade irá ofertar 200 refeições por período, diariamente, com café da manhã, da tarde e almoço. No local, os conviventes receberão orientações sobre os cuidados com a higiene, como lavar as mãos com água e sabão, cobrir a boca e o nariz ao tossir e espirrar, evitar tocar os olhos e não compartilhar objetos de uso pessoal, assim como manter distância segura enquanto aguardam na fila para se alimentar.
O novo núcleo faz parte das medidas criadas em caráter emergencial para o combate a disseminação do coronavírus. A necessidade de ampliação dos espaços de atendimento social ocorreu devido ao aumento da demanda por alimentação e higienização para os moradores em situação de rua, por conta do estado de quarentena.
A cidade conta com dez Núcleos de Convivência e mais dois emergenciais, e tem como objetivo principal contribuir com a reinserção social das pessoas em situação de rua. Os equipamentos funcionam durante o dia servindo refeições e ministrando oficinas, que visam à construção de vínculos interpessoais, familiares e comunitários. Para os Núcleos de Convivência da Sé, Chá dos Padres, Prates e Porto Seguro, foram aditados em caráter emergencial mais 760 vagas.
