No domingo, dia 22 de Maio, as piscinas públicas dos Centros Esportivos da cidade de São Paulo serão fechadas. A cidade tem 46 Centros Esportivos administrados pela Secretaria Municipal de Esportes e Lazer (SEME), sendo 28 com piscinas. O fechamento das piscinas desses locais já acontece anualmente, entre os meses de maio e setembro, pois entre as estações de outono e inverno as temperaturas baixam consideravelmente.
Apesar do fechamento, as piscinas continuarão com toda manutenção necessária, tais como limpeza durante todo o período. A reabertura está programada para o dia 17 de setembro. Na região vão fechar as piscinas CEE Rubens Pecce Lordello (CE Cambuci),Balneário Carlos Joel Nelli (CE Ipiranga),CEE Riyuso Ogawa (CE Vila Guarani), Balneário Jalisco (CE Vila Santa Catarina), CEE Mané Garrincha (CE Ibirapuera), Balneário Mario Moraes (CE Jardim Celeste)
