O Correio lança, neste domingo (9), o selo comemorativo Bicentenário da Independência – Presença dos Correios. A peça filatélica faz parte da série dos 200 anos da Independência do Brasil, tratando-se do 15º lançamento de selo em 2022.
O selo a respeito da participação do serviço postal na Independência ressalta a estrutura da entrega das cartas na primeira metade do Século XIX, a partir da
perspectiva de como a instituição Correios, formada em 1663, funcionava com o trabalho de profissionais dos mais variados ambientes, que então integravam a sociedade da época.
A arte feita a partir de informações históricas e que traz elementos como a administração postal, seu oficial responsável e os indígenas transportadores de carta, busca uma representação acerca do seu significado para o atual momento. Referências historiográficas, bem como a visão e a criatividade da artista, se juntam construindo uma nova memória a respeito da participação da empresa na Independência.
No Bicentenário da Independência, os Correios buscam ressaltar outros indivíduos participantes da história postal, que nem sempre são lembrados em selos, mas ganham cada vez mais espaço nos estudos histórico sobre o tema, ganhando agora, destaque também na área filatélica.
Sobre o selo- Esta emissão do conjunto do Bicentenário da Independência destaca a presença dos serviços de correios na entrega de correspondências, contendo notícias e informações acerca todo o cenário que se desenrolava. Na esquerda do selo está o desenho de um personagem com vestes coloniais entregando um malote com envelopes, e na porção direita, dois indígenas – seguindo o relato histórico que percorriam o caminho em duplas – se embrenhando pela mata. Logo acima do personagem que contrata o serviço de
entrega está um desenho de uma construção com o nome Correios, aqui retratado de forma simbólica. A técnica usada foi ilustração manual com lápis de cor.
