A encenação do Grito da Independência, no Parque da Independência, levou milhares de pessoas ao delírio. O ator Caco Ciocler, no papel de Dom Pedro I, se envolveu com o público e relatou depois, que também sentiu uma forte emoção durante o espetáculo.
O ato em comemoração ao Bicentenário da Independência, teve, também, bonecos de Olinda representando membros de nossa história. Eles abriram o Espetáculo “Vozes da Independência”, obra músico-teatral.- que contou a história da Independência do Brasil.
Ciocler ficou emocionado e exaltou a importância do seu papel na peça, nos 200 anos da Independência. “Fiquei pensando nisso durante o espetáculo. Às vezes eu olhava para o céu, o Monumento, as pessoas e pensava em onde mais eu poderia estar, se não na pele de Dom Pedro, neste bicentenário. É uma honra”.
A peça também contou a história de outros importantes personagens da Independência – como Tarsila do Amaral; Anita Garibaldi; Machado de Assis; Padre Anchieta; Francisco José Chagas; Chico Mendes e Zumbi dos Palmares – trazendo importantes gritos da Independência nunca antes escutados e salientando temas importantes de nossa atualidade: racismo, violência contra as mulheres e respeito aos índios.
A iniciativa foi aplaudida por Caco. “É muita coragem da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura ter aceitado um espetáculo não tradicional que trouxe a tona gritos da Independência que a gente nunca ouviu, deixou Dom Pedro em segundo plano e fez uma visita amorosa a essa revisitação que temos que fazer da nossa história”, salientou o ator abordando também a importância da reinauguração do Museu do Ipiranga para Cultura. “Se a gente não entender o DNA da nossa história, não entenderemos onde estamos e para onde queremos ir”, concluiu.
O evento foi contagiante e emocionou a todos os presentes no Museu, que ovacionaram e gritaram a cada encenação. Ao final, a Escola de Samba Imperador do Ipiranga reproduziu grandes composições que contam a história do país, como a canção “Canto das Três Raças”, de Clara Nunes.
