Criado em 27 de março de 1942, o Quarto Comando Aéreo Regional (IV COMAR), sediado no Cambuci, encerrou suas atividades em uma cerimônia militar realizada na segunda-feira (14). A solenidade presidida pelo Comandante da Aeronáutica, Tenente-Brigadeiro do Ar Nivaldo Luiz Rossato, homenageou ex-comandantes e veteranos da unidade.
“O COMAR está sendo substituído por outras estruturas mais dinâmicas, de menor custo e estamos redistribuindo nossas organizações. Nesse aspecto, por São Paulo ser o centro dessa parte industrial do Brasil, nossas organizações nessa área, como o DCTA em São José dos Campos, como o CELOG, a parte de catalogação, e nada melhor do que pegar esse prédio para fazermos um planejamento antigo de concentrar as organizações do COMGAP dentro de um mesmo prédio”, disse o Tenente-Brigadeiro Rossato.
A mudança tem como objetivo transferir a base logística da FAB para São Paulo, que abriga um alto número de empresas da base industrial de defesa brasileira e a maior parte dos contratos do COMGAP. Além disso, o Estado também reunirá várias unidades subordinadas ao órgão, como o Centro Logístico da Aeronáutica (CELOG), ao qual estão subordinadas Comissão Aeronáutica Brasileira na Europa (CABE), Comissão Aeronáutica Brasileira em Washington (CABW), Centro de Transporte Logístico da Aeronáutica (CTLA), Instituto de Logística da Aeronáutica (ILA) e Centro de Catalogação (CECAT). Ainda em 2017, São Paulo deve receber as Diretorias de Material Aeronáutico e Bélico (DIRMAB) e de Infraestrutura (DIRINFRA).
“A vinda do COMGAP para São Paulo não é uma ação única, ela faz parte do processo de reestruturação da FAB e traz com ela a DIRMAB, a DIRINFRA de volta ao centro industrial do Brasil: São Paulo. Então acredito que vai ser um grande ganho, estamos juntos ao polo aeronáutico, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba e outros”, disse o novo Comandante-Geral de Apoio, Tenente-Brigadeiro do Ar Paulo João Cury. “Estamos trocando um Major-Brigadeiro por um Tenente-Brigadeiro e dois Majores-Brigadeiros, só irá melhorar. São Paulo não está perdendo nada, pelo contrário.”
