Em busca do retorno ao grupo 1 da UESP, a escola de samba Flor de Liz finaliza os detalhes rumo ao Carnaval de 2018. A agremiação da Vila Santa Catarina traz para 2018 o enredo Viagem Pitoresca de um Rei da Terra do Mandacaru, que já vem sendo desenvolvido pelo novo carnavalesco.
A escola desfila com 800 componentes, 15 alas e dois carros alegóricos. Para este ano a escola anunciou a contratação do renovado carnavalesco Sidinho Ramos. O carnavalesco foi por 12 anos assistente de Joãozinho Trinta, e acumula passagens por escolas como Barroca Zona Sul, Brinco da Marquesa, Camisa Verde e Branco, Unidos do Peruche, Vai-Vai, e Tradição no Rio de Janeiro.
Para levar o títuloa e scoal continua contando com o experiente casal de mestre-sala e porta-bandeira Rodrigo Antonio e Marina Lazzari, ambos vão para o terceiro Carnaval na escola. O experiente Daniel Collete também teve seu contrato renovado, e vai para seu segundo ano comandando o carro de som, juntamente com Edu Ares que chega para reforçar o time.
Na comissão de frente foi confirmada a coreógrafa Aysla Martins que vai para seu segundo ano na agremiação. A Flor de Liz terá em sua harmonia uma comissão formada por Nenê Ribeiro, Yves, Gabiru, Camargo e Bruno, e terá sua comissão de Carnaval composta por Jonas, Gerson, Elaine, Daniel Collete, Silva Ribeiro.
A Flor de Liz desfila no Butantã na segunda-feira (12).
