Campeã brasileira nas categorias Light Contact e Point Fight, e vice na Kick Light, Raphaella Castro deu mais um passo em direção à carreira internacional. Ela disputou três lutas na Copa Brasil de Kickboxing, realizada entre quinta-feira (5) e domingo (8), em Maringá, no Paraná, e se qualificou para os jogos Sul-Americanos, em novembro, no Peru.
“Parecia uma disputa entre São Paulo e Paraná, porque a torcida incentivou o tempo todo as lutadoras locais, que eram menos técnicas, mas determinadas”, comentou. Se não bastassem as dificuldades de uma competição que envolve os melhores lutadores do país, Raphaella teve de enfrentar uma verdadeira maratona.
“Eu cheguei na quinta-feira (5) em Maringá, fui para a pesagem, e as três lutas foram no mesmo dia, na sexta (6)”, ela lembra. “Eu não tinha me alimentado e ainda não havia descansado, mas graças a Deus tudo teminou bem”, agradeceu. “Eu ainda sinto dores nas costas, mas estou feliz”, diz ela, na sexta-feira (13), uma semana depois dos combates.
Raphaella vai representar o Brasil nos Jogos Sul-Americanos do Peru, mas esbarra em um obstáculo: a falta de patrocínio. “Está um pouco complicado, pois temos de tirar do próprio bolso todos os custos”, ela analisa. “Temos gastos com o material, inscrição na competição, hospedagem e as passagens aéreas, entre outros”, calcula. O patrocínio é fundamental para Raphaella, que é hoje o “Xodó do Cambuci”.
Raphaella chegou a praticar karatê e capoeira, mas aos 13 anos, ao conhecer as oficinas de artes marciais do Balneário Cambuci, apaixonou-se pelo kickboxing. Inscreveu-se no curso e, após três anos de dedicação ao esporte, acumula vitórias. É campeã brasileiras em duas categorias e vice em outra. Ela é treinada por Carlos Eduardo Choque, que é faixa preta em 3º DAN. Derivado do japonês, DAN é a denominação de cada um dos graus de maestria atribuídos a alguém. É identificado por um cinturão preto.
“Eu estou aguardando adversária para o dia 29, mas o mais importante, agora, é pensar no Sul-Americano, no Pan-Americano e no Mundial”, argumenta a campeã.
