Na semana da Independência do Brasil, o Parque da Independência foi o local escolhido para apresentação das novas 150 viaturas adquiridas pela Prefeitura de São Paulo para a Guarda Civil Metropolitana (GCM). O Ipiranga, que antes contava com 5 veículos, agora passará a ter 10, atuantes no combate à criminalidade, com aumento, também no contingente de guardas.
Ao todo, conforme apurado, serão 230 novas viaturas as quais andarão pelas ruas de São Paulo com a promessa de agirem com ainda mais força e condições, em conjunto com outras forças armadas, na segurança da população.
“É um prazer imenso estar aqui hoje, representando a Subprefeitura do Ipiranga e ter o prazer de ver toda essa fileira de novas viaturas fornecidas pelo nosso prefeito. São 150 viaturas, de 230 que serão totalizadas. É um prazer imenso saber que o nosso prefeito juntamente com o secretário, tem esse olhar para nossa segurança”, afirmou o Subprefeito do Ipiranga, Decio Oda.
Secretário Municipal de Segurança Pública, Junior Fagotti, comemorou a chegada dos veículos e agradeceu pela pareceria com a Guarda Civil Metropolitana. “Se não fosse a gente acreditar muito no trabalho de vocês, este momento não estaria acontecendo”.
À reportagem, Agapito Marques, comandante geral da GCM falou sobre a importância da entrega das viaturas para valorização da guarda e seus profissionais, relembrando o antes e o depois das condições em que atuavam na cidade de São Paulo.
“Eu tenho 38 anos de guarda. Entrei na primeira turma de guarda, 150 primeiros guardas. A gente punha dinheiro do bolso, tirava o vale refeição para pegar um carro que já estava para baixa de outra secretaria, reformar aquele carro lá para que o serviço da guarda não parasse”, contou.
Marques frisou ainda, que o prefeito Ricardo Nunes é o que mais investiu na instituição, celebrando a chegada dos novos carros e salientando que a entrega será de relevância para os novos guardas que ingressaram à instituição. Ao todo foram 2 mil contratados.
“Ele é o prefeito que de longe mais investiu na instituição. Essa entrega de viatura para nós é principalmente para os guardas que estão chegando e não passaram as dificuldades que a guarda passou no passado para chegar ao que nós somos hoje”, destacou.
Por fim, o comandante destacou que os veículos terão grande importância, também para a população do Ipiranga, assim como, de toda a cidade, além de melhores condições para atender às demandas da Prefeitura.
“É de suma importância para nós e mais importante ainda para a população que vai poder contar aqui na região do Ipiranga, com quantidade de viatura dobrada, então é mais viatura na rua, mais efetivo na rua, para dar proteção para essa população, aumentar a sensação de segurança e também atender todos os trabalhos para prefeitura”, pontuou.
“Para a gente é uma satisfação, um orgulho, de a gente estar na instituição desde o começo, acompanhar o que ela passou, e hoje a gente ver a entrega dessas viaturas, para a gente é um orgulho. Nós estamos decolando, estamos subindo. Ainda não paramos. Com certeza virão mais entregas, ainda tem muita coisa a fazer”, concluiu Agapito.
Também presente no evento, o secretário de governo municipal, Edson Aparecido, além de abordar sobre o evento em si, parabenizou pelo local escolhido para sua realização. “Muito bem escolhido a gente entregar aqui nessa imagem maravilhosa que todos vocês podem acompanhar [Parque da Independência], com o Museu do Ipiranga lá no fundo”.
