São Paulo ganhou nessa terça-feira (29) uma ligação entre a Estação da Luz, que atende as Linhas 7-Rubi, 10-Turquesa e 11-Coral da CPTM, e a Sala São Paulo. Batizada de Boulevard João Carlos Martins em homenagem ao pianista e maestro brasileiro, a passagem facilitará o trajeto entre os dois espaços oferecendo segurança e conforto aos pedestres, além de acessibilidade a pessoas com deficiência e mobilidade reduzida. O caminho dispõe de rota tátil, elevador e escadas fixas para acesso ao local.
Com a inauguração do boulevard, a direção da Sala São Paulo espera uma maior frequência do público. ,Isso porque a grande reclamação era de que frequentar a Sala São Paulo se tornou inseguro, graças a presença de muitos usuários de droga que andar na região e são frequentadores da Cracolândia.
Com investimentos da ordem de R$ 11 milhões, que contempla também a execução de serviços para adequação da plataforma central e instalação de passarela provisória de acesso à Rua José Paulino, o projeto do boulevard foi todo elaborado para preservar as características originais do ambiente e permitir integração do público com o contexto histórico do local. Por isso, a cobertura do teto, os guarda-corpos da escada, a passarela e o próprio elevador foram confeccionados em vidro para permitir a interação do público com o espaço.
O percurso tem 210 metros, cobertura de vidro aproveitando a luz natural, sistema de iluminação projetado com lâmpadas led dispostas em formato horizontal e fitas que percorrem o pergolado, representando os dormentes (componentes que compõem os trilhos) de uma via férrea.
Para acessar o boulevard vindo do sistema de transporte sobre trilhos da Estação da Luz, basta seguir pela Plataforma 1 da CPTM, acompanhar a sinalização e acessar direto a ligação até o estacionamento do espaço cultural. Quem vem à Sala São Paulo para embarcar na estação, precisa validar a passagem nos bloqueios instalados na entrada do boulevard. O local não possui bilheteria.
O horário de funcionamento do boulevard João Carlos Martins é das 7h às 23h30, de segunda a sexta, incluindo feriados. Aos finais de semana o horário é das 7h até o fim do último evento no complexo cultural, limitado até 23h30.
