A infância da menina Zélia Gattai enche de poesia o seu primeiro livro, “Anarquistas, Graças a Deus”, obra adaptada, em 1984, pela Rede Globo na minissérie homônima de nove capítulos. A produção contou a história da família de imigrantes italianos Gattai, que veio para o Brasil perseguindo o sonho da Colônia Santa Cecília, reduto anarquista, e viveu em São Paulo nos anos 1910 e 1920, acompanhando o crescimento da cidade. Ernesto Gattai (Ney Latorraca) era um jovem toscano de ideias anarquistas que tinha uma oficina mecânica e trabalhava também como motorista particular de ricas famílias paulistanas. Ele se casou com Angelina Da Col (Débora Duarte), mulher forte e sensível que conseguia conviver com os sonhos do marido sem tirar os pés do chão. A matriarca gostava de jogar no bicho e assistir aos enterros que passam diante de sua porta. O casal teve cinco filhos, incluindo Zélia (Daniele Rodrigues), a narradora do cotidiano de sua família. Através das lembranças da menina, conhecemos seus pais, a empregada Maria Negra (Zenaide Pereira) e seus quatro irmãos mais velhos: Remo (Marcos Frota), Vanda (Lilian Vizzacchero), Vera (Christiane Rando) e Tito (Afonso Nigro).
“ ‘Anarquistas’ resgatou os valores mais importantes de uma família – o respeito, o amor, o carinho e a ternura. E foi gravada acompanhando este ritmo da vida, mostrando os personagens à mesa esperando os outros para começar a comer”, ressalta Ney Latorraca. Para o ator, seu personagem era “um sonhador que realizava sonhos”. Na minissérie, a trajetória de Ernesto Gattai, trabalhador pobre e militante do Movimento Anarquista, revelou também um pouco da história do Brasil. Antigos filmes da época da imigração italiana serviram de contraponto à história e explicavam o que ocorria em São Paulo no período que se segue à Primeira Guerra Mundial. “Cada capítulo da produção era composto por trechos de documentários e fragmentos da memória de Zélia. Eles, como outros imigrantes, foram pessoas que vieram para construir uma nação. E fizeram isso. É só notar que São Paulo na época tinha cerca de 32 mil habitantes”, comenta Latorraca.
A escritora Zélia Gattai – mulher do também escritor Jorge Amado – acompanhou de perto a produção de sua obra para a televisão e fez questão de dar sua opinião sobre a minissérie aos atores que interpretaram seus pais. “A Zélia falou que minha personagem tinha até cacoetes da mãe, que eu parecia muito com ela. Meu maior presente foi ela ter visto e gostado”, garante Débora Duarte que interpretou a Angelina. Já Ney Latorraca lembra que a obra marcou sua primeira atuação como um personagem que era, acima de tudo, um pai. “Um dia recebi um telegrama em que a Zélia dizia que, se seu pai estivesse vivo, estaria muito orgulhoso”, recorda.
“Anarquistas, Graças a Deus” foi lançado em DVD, pela Som Livre e também está disponível para ser assistida a qualquer hora pelos assinantes do Globoplay.
