O Forró do Grito com vistas a fomentar a cultura da região do Ipiranga, pretende associar os gêneros musicais nordestinos à comunidade local. A idéia de nomear esta atividade “Forró do Grito” faz menção ao histórico grito de independência, além de contemplar uma parte importante da população do Ipiranga formada por nordestinos e descendentes.
Esse evento é uma iniciativa do ECO, Escritório Coletivo do Ipiranga, formado por um grupo de artistas e agentes culturais que buscam valorizar a cultura local.
Participarão do Forró do Grito bandas de forró, DJs,comidas nordestina,bebidas, aulas de forró e artesanatos.
As atrações são: aulas de forró gratuita com os professores Alexandre Silva e Patricia Caixeta. O evento contará com as bandas Forró Paraxaxá, Balaio de Baião, Trio Borogodó, DJ JhonnyCruz (Forró), DJ AlêSkenta(Forró) e DJ Tiago Costa (Brasilidades).
