O AME Barradas (Ambulatório Médico de Especialidades Luiz Roberto Barradas Barata), também conhecido como AME Heliópolis, localizado na avenida Almirante Delamare, completa dez anos de funcionamento com balanço superior a 2,6 milhões de atendimentos, no período. A comemoração de aniversário ocorreu na segunda-feira (3).
Inaugurado em dezembro de 2008, o ambulatório já realizou, até o momento, 1.369.664 consultas médicas e não médicas, 1.105.082 exames, 121.227 cirurgias – das quais 11.215 de catarata, por exemplo – e 4.374 atendimentos em Odontologia. Somente em 2018, até outubro, foram 146.385 consultas, 106.086 exames, 12.046 cirurgias e 352 atendimentos odontológicos.
O AME Barradas é maior unidade do tipo no Estado e possui acreditação de qualidade Nível III pela ONA (Organização Nacional de Acreditação), certificação com excelência. Com foco na humanização e na necessidade da população, funciona também aos sábados, das 7 às 17h, facilitando o acesso ao serviço. Também nesse sentido, os usuários contam com transporte de vans e ônibus às estações do metrô Alto do Ipiranga e Sacomã. O serviço funciona continuamente, das 6h às 22h, e transporta cerca de 40.000 pessoas por mês, em média, entre pacientes e acompanhantes.
Desde 2009, a unidade realiza procedimentos cirúrgicos. A estrutura cirúrgica é ampla, com seis salas operatórias e 12 leitos de recuperação pós-anestésica, possibilitando a realização de cirurgias de pequeno e médio porte, inclusive sob anestesia geral. Há uma ala de internação em regime de Hospital, com 12 quartos e 24 leitos, funcionando das 6h às 19h, o que permite ao paciente ser operado e receber alta no mesmo dia.
Para celebrar sua primeira década, o Ambulatório realizou uma cerimônia especial, com convidados e pacientes que estiverem em consulta na segunda. A abertura foi conduzida pelo superintendente Paulo Quintaes e pelo presidente do Seconci, Haruo Ishikawa. Na sequência, o Coral Bacarelli se apresentou, com exibição da retrospectiva do AME. Um violinista e um coffee encerram a cerimônia.
