Ibirapuera, que fica na esquina do local, deixando o tráfego intenso nos arredores.O problema começou por volta das 11 horas de segunda (7), quando após a forte chuva que atingiu São Paulo, uma árvore caiu e danificou sete carros que estavam parados na Rua Pedro de Toledo. A árvore derrubou também fios elétricos e seis postes no local.
Um dos maiores problemas ocasionados pela queda da árvore aconteceu no Hospital do Servidor Público (Rua Pedro de Toledo 1.800). Logo após o incidente, o posto médico ficou sem o fornecimento de energia elétrica, dependendo apenas do seu próprio gerador para manter suas atividades. Porém, apesar do problema, o Hospital informou que seus equipamentos teriam capacidade suficiente para fornecer energia ininterruptamente aos pacientes e funcionários. Por precaução, os trabalhos de cirurgias foram suspensos. Apenas na manhã de terça (, o hospital voltou a funcionar normalmente.
